I've been to a few that told me tarp it somewhere else, no coincidence probably that these were cheap freight type loads.

When I drove for Melton and got $40 to tarp, I would tarp every load I could cause I needed the extra money. Now I drive for a small company that does not offer tarp pay. I have no beef throwing my coil bags on but when I have to get out the big tarps I get annoyed. I do not like tarping for free.
I am pretty sure the company gets tarp pay on the load, but there is no pass through.
I have only had one place tell me I could not tarp on their property. It was a tall load of insulation. I called the company and let them know I could not tarp on the the shippers property so I was allowed to leave it uncovered due to no way to get up on it and no "safety" harness being up that high. -
Right now I would pass my tarp pay along to someone else...I have the flu and no way do I feel like rolling up the lumber tarp that's on my load right now...ugh.
