There are lots of good reasons to avoid H&R, but that ain't one... aside from the fact it isn't true. Soros doesn't appear to currently hold any H&R stock, although once upon a time they owned 0.04%.

    Internet rumours... sheesh.

Your LLC taxes roll over to your personal taxes. Take your taxes to a cpa and let them do yours both ways. My wife and I got more back by filing separate than together.

In my experience, it pays to stay away from the big nationwide "tax" firms like H&R Block. The majority of their business comes from people filing simple return who are in too big a hurry to get that refund to educate themselves on tax law.

I use a local tax partnership that has specialists in transportation and small business. My CPA handles my quarterly Estimated and my end of fiscal year filing.

I agree with everyone else, get a true tax professional who knows the industry.

HRBlock’s tax preparers are not tax professionals, not accountants or hold any professional degrees or certifications. Anyone can prepare taxes as long as you take their 60 hour course.

The best trucking tax guy I know, and use personally because I had found myself in a little trouble with the IRS a few years ago, is Mike Albright from Texas. He works nationally, former trucker himself and very easy to deal with.

And, no you don't have to be in trouble with the IRS before he will help you, he also does regular tax prep and accounting work for truckers.

Got some good suggestions, but just based on the little info you provided, I’d keep it separate
