Pepsi and coke are good starter companies if you want to drive local. I agree with Chinatown, I’ve talked to long term drivers that had several surgeries. If you must, get in, learn, and graduate to something better!

 

are you going to get any endorsements if you get hazmat and/or tanker there are more options like oil and gas jobs they pay alot more and dont care if you are new they will help you learn on the job

 

yeah you cant get hazmat till you have your cdl as for tanker it is a quick test you can do now or later... you only need tanker if you want to haul tanks but hazmat is very useful on its own

 

it took a few weeks but it was a while for the twic as for hazmat depends on the speed of you state plus a month or so for the fed background check... a passport express card helps speeds up the background check.. I have never used the twic I did otr team for 2 months but now I have switched to oil and gas ... I am a perf gun loader now I just finished training and am about to go to midland friday to start my job. I am looking forward to it ... nice money (wireline operator make 100k ish with 100+ hrs/ week and gun loader is less but only cuz less hrs) and think I will make a career out of it

 

Endorsements are just a couple written tests, go ahead and take them.
