OK, I've never posted here, but now I'm terrified. I am REALLY hoping to attend a CDL school and get hired on somewhere. I have some back ground in freight, and loading flatbeds. I'm curious as to why so few seem to survive the first six months or so. I know this profession is really demanding on an individual, but I'm really hoping that I have the 'Right Stuff' to succeed. I'm not worried about being home(no one there), or being low man on the pole. I know what it's like to have to pay my dues, and have no problem with it. What scares me is the attrition rate. I have nothing but respect for you folks out there hauling the goods, and it bugs me that MORE people don't appreciate your individual sacrifices. Anyhoo keep the rubber side down(is that how it goes?).
