yup, with celadon currently, not bad at .52, great miles but not too happy with the equipment. and being new (less than 6 months), we are unsure if dayton freight would hire us. eventually we feel strongly that we would end up with DH and grind for 2 years or so

 

Go talk to them if they need drivers bad enough they will but if they are staffed at least get an application on file with them for future reference. The manager in Cincy seriously considered hiring me with only like 3 months experience years ago and there was no driver shortage back then. You just never know!!

 

Was already to head over to DHT ON MONDAY NOW I HAVE TO POSTPONE IT FOR COUPLE OF MONTHS GRRR! Talk about bad timing.

I would recommend Schneider, they have what looks like a great team driving opportunity . ..I am also in Phoenix area, and this is a job they are willing to pay a 10K bonus even for inexperienced drivers, and tuition reimbursement for . . . I've applied for it myself, looking to go to CDL school ASAP.

Sorry to hear that but as they say family always comes first take care of your stuff at home then come to your new second home at DHT

 

Okay so make sure you ask them how much the base pay is and what's involved with the bonuses to hit that $0.65 per mile mark and ask him how many years it takes to pay off that $10,000 bonus. Also how long do you have to be committed to them for paying off your schooling because that could be stretched out for quite a while as well.

No problem their health insurance should still be very good which is a huge perk.
