Why are you signing a contract if you already have your CDL? Contracts are usuallly for students.

I broke into trucking ith CRST..knowing what I know now I would have gone somewhere else..but at least they did provide me with a start and experience so I could move on to greener pastures. You will have to find your own partner with them as well after you get off your trainer's truck

I am going to assume you're a female by your avatar, lol.

I am okay with training with a male, but teaming (as a married female) with a male is not an option for me. But in your situation, if being teamed with a female is a priority, I learned that it will be a long wait with CSRT to find a female to team with. Also, finding a female that lives near you. See, you'll have to agree on where to park the rig somewhere between your house and her (or the male's) house. The likelihood of me finding a female within reasonable distance from me is a longshot.

    I also didn't like that they didn't have ez-pass.

I also didn't think their team pay rate was as good as the other recruiter companies that came in and gave us their long winded speech.

Regardless though, I wish you luck. Perhaps all of what I said is a load a crap, eh?

I'm told that Covenant takes very good care of their teams. One of my classmates has relatives that have been with Covenant as a team for 5 years, and they're each doing about $80k revenue and get a new truck annually as company drivers.

Well generally teaming is more miles for an inexperienced driver. They can also be some frigin scary miles as most folks won't team with an inexperienced driver. So two inexperienced drivers in a truck, HMMMMM blind leading the blind.

You have and advantage, your a woman and your not opposed to teaming with a man. If I where not married I would prefer to team with a woman driver, it's not any kind of well you know thing, it's just that your known to take a shower more the once a month, and I can get along with any woman I'm not married to. LOL

I would check out Schneider, US express, and Conway. Even if you have to go through a stupid training thing your going to want to stay with the same company for a year.

Also I would go solo for 3 months, if you can do that and not kill anybody your likely to get a good extremely experienced team partner.

Okay I read all three pages of this thread. Still I am a little confused. You have your CDL license. It is a class A license correct?
    .
You keep referring to training. What training are you referring to? Is this school because your CDL is not current and you do not have experience or is this sending you out with a trainer?
    .
Finding a company that teams is not usually a problem. Most companies love having teams. Finding a co-driver to team with that is at least somewhat normal and competent to drive a truck --- now that can be a real problem.
