Personally, don't waste your time on the guise you'll get paid more. I hate seeing these ad's, "Teams, 50 cents per mile split!" That's .25 cents a mile, times 5,200 miles.
Basically, if you were by yourself, you'd make at least .38-.45 cents a mile, get 2,600 miles, and make $988.00 to $1,170.00 vs your $1,300.00.
There are companies that pay higher than .38 - .45 cents a mile, look at Crete carrier. For the stress of teaming, the bottom line, it doesn't pay enough. I value my space, and don't know how you can really relax with the truck constantly moving, and knowing when it stop's, it's your turn to drive.
Team driving is a scam

Team is a good deal if you have a good partner and dedicated coast to coast or similar. I did that and made more money than solo, because the miles were more consistent. Solo drivers aren't normally given the high mile loads, those usually go to teams. Running solo you can have some weeks that are great and others that are really bad.

Money aside, team driving was a nightmare at times, other times not too bad. I'll never do it again that for sure.

Driving with my ex resulted in a 25% increase to the household, but a 25% decrease to my paycheck. We could have doubled our money in separate trucks.

I've always heard teaming is only good if both checks are going to the same account.

I see team driving as a compatible venture and have a joint bank account.Anyont who can do basic math can see teaming doesn't pay good separately.Werner pays 34 CPM split that shows me what they think of their drivers.

Yeah..I figured as much the first time it was offered after I completed my driving test with KLLM. I just turned another offer a o/o made me and I hadn't worked for 5 months. Being in a moving truck 24/7 for months. No breaks, no space, no good sleep. No Deal Playa! I could see doing it wit wifey, or girlfriend or gender wise vise versa. It wouldn't be too bad then. That's ✌ Cents.Steelhauler1246, KB3MMX, diesel drinker and 2 others Thank this.

I've never felt so unhealthy as when I teamed either. Drive, switch, lay down. Drive, switch, lay down. Little to no excercise and even less quality of sleep. I did it for 6 months as the company I worked for offered an incentive to do it. That was 5 months and 30 days too long IMHO
