We had 2 couples at Estes that teamed together for years. Then when we blew up in St. Louis, both couples took runs, seperate trucks, same destination, same cut time, everything. They seem much happier. Both couples actually go to Dallas. Follow each other down, drop at the yard, park at the hotel, take a swim go out to eat. I think they caught a hockey game one night. Still there for each other if one or the other needs assistance, but not CONSTANT togetherness. Which I agree with @thelushlarry I can't stand myself most days.
Team driving is a scam

Not only that but these companies really bank on team required loads. Nevertheless, it's not reflected in the pay to the drivers.

Another Canadian driver, DAX_, Orangees and 4 others Thank this. -
What if instead of team, you had 3 drivers sharing the 2 bunks and the 1 drivers seat? Like Threes Company. Every 8 hours rotate drivers and never ever shut the truck off. Three people would make it more fun and nobody would get on anybody's nerves.
