Yea apprently a really common chemical used to make it can cause allergic reactions something about the adhesive. I never knew it was a thing until then either. But it wasnt a big ask for us to not use it so duct tape lol.

If people look at 4-5 minutes in the video he shows the bottom cabinet were I put my cpap. Then get a 10 foot air hose and it reach up to the top bunk if you sleep on top bunk when parked.

Their is also just enough room in cabinet on side between the bed and cabinet you can fit a power cord or 12v plug run the power to sleeper plug. I also had backup battery to run my cpap because every time the truck would start all the power in the truck batteries would be used by the starter. That would make cpap shut off. My truck had the electric a/c and heater setup. It could run 6-10 before the engine would start to recharge the truck batteries.

They sell camping batteries to run cpap for camping or going on air plane. I plugged the battery into the 12v plug in sleeper and then plug the cpap into the battery. Any time the truck starts and cut the 12v power off the battery for the cpap would keep the cpap going because that battery could go 6 hours with being recharged. I only need it to go 3 seconds when starter turns the engine to start truck.

As I already mentioned, I never had to try to sleep while my trainer, or later my trainee, was driving. However, I did sleep in the upper bunk during my training, and there wasn’t a convenient shelf for the machine, so I kept it in the same corner next to my pillow as where I kept it stowed when I drove. There was a cabinet on the front side that kept it from falling out of the upper berth, both when I was up there sleeping and when I was driving. It didn’t require any additional securement.

This seems like a ridiculously easy problem to solve. Secure the device.

I use a CPAP and m wife and I team drive with zero issues.

My cpap has well over a million miles riding on the bed next to the cabinet. How bad is your driving if things are literally flying around your bunk? I drive like an ####### and it never moves.

Several of us have already told you how we handle it. It isn’t rocket surgery. The best solution is whatever works for you. Ask yourself “How would I secure my CPAP machine?” Then try that.

Someone is going to have to draw him a picture. I drew the picture on his last thread, so it's someone else's turn.
