I cant imagine working with someone else in such a small environment. One must really get along or it would be a disaster. Does a company let you pick or meet the person beforehand?

I went team with a friend years ago. We did ok, and got along pretty well, but I can't imagine going team with a stranger. I don't like too many people to begin with, never mind spend that kind of time with someone, going through trianing will be bad enough.

I've done my share of teaming. I either loved or hated my teamate. I actually married one of my teamates.

I'd only team with my wife or son nowadays. When I first started I was on the casual board but been to every warehouse except two out of maybe 50 or so. So they'd stick me with the new drivers because I knew where I was going. I hated most of them because they wanted to play truck driver and not get the job done. Then crawling in the box was scary too. I had one trip where we were up in Atlanta and had to go over to a small town. I did all the driving until then and just had to get some sleep. The next warehouse was only 2 hours away and I gave him all the directions. I went to sleep and woke up all refreshed and counldn't understand why until I looked at the time and it was 8 hours later. He had stopped at every truck stop to flirt with the waitresses and play the big trucker. Of course I told the boss I'd never team with that guy again.

So know who you're going with so you'll get along.

I was considering Andrus but they mentioned that after training you must team for an additional 6 months. Not sure how that experience will play out and if it is a smart move
