Sure can, many reefer outfits run teams to the west coast. I always ran solo, but Elogs slowed that down. Still, can make good money with Elogs though. Which state do you live in?
-
I live in Connecticut. But if she decide to get her cdl we would be able to move where the job is. As long as there ok with it I suppose.

Calex Logistics runs teams to the west coast. I know they have some freight from the east coast to Las Vegas. I've seen their trucks in Las Vegas. They haul produce out of California also. Calex hires new cdl grads.

Perfect. I will check them out.Thank you.

Schuster seems like a good outfit. Maybe they have teams. Hire new cdl grads and their big account is Blue Bunny Ice Cream. I've also seen their trucks in Las Vegas. Call and ask if they run teams & if they hire in your state.. Not too long ago a new cdl grad in Texas said they hired him.
sam3106 Thanks this. -
Personally, I prefer reefers over dry van, but there's a couple of decent dry van outfits that run teams and hire new cdl grads.

McLane is experimenting with three man teams at the Jessup, PA location. They run 8 hour shifts doing NY City, Long Island and NJ. Two are always on-duty to drive and unload while one is sleeping. Not sure how I would like that but it is an option. McLane seems desperate for drivers in the Northeast, paying up to $6,000 sign-on or tuition reimbursement however I have never met a McLane driver that liked their job!
Being based in CT the OP is in a good position for McLane to get certified to run Thruway doubles. They run them from DC to DC along I-90 in Mass and NY, good money and easy job. -
A 3 man team would suck. It is hard enough sleeping when you are going down the interstate. Having 2 drivers up front constantly getting in and out, slamming doors and pulling in and out of deliveries would not be a safe operation. Thankfully I don’t have to worry about running team again. It was ok when I did it, but I have done several jobs that I won’t do again.austinmike and brian991219 Thank this.
