That would about work to team a load 1100 miles in roughly 18 hours plus 6 hours rest for 24 hours. It is thinking outside the box, but 6 hours in a truck not moving would help some people to get enough rest teaming.. It takes me about 28 hours solo to do that in a truck governed at 66 to 70 with a 10 hour break.
If the truck was governed slower than say 67, it would take an hour or 2 more, but you have that much extra time built into the day,by driving another hour each.
You might have to drive farther some times and not as far other times, and the plan won't maximise running time or miles.

When I drove team, we planned by the load. We never stuck to a certain schedule as it is hard to plan in advance. Only in certain circumstances did we do the split option. On hot loads, you need to keep moving. Stopping could cause you to miss your delivery time by even the slightest. It would take two 10hr shifts to go 1100 miles at a rate 65mph with a team. Factor in fuel and rest stops, and you are looking at 20hrs providing no break downs occur.
KHrmac Thanks this. -
The truck we drive is not governed. We drive the legal truck speed limit always and don't have to crawl at 62 mph. If we get a special load that has to be there asap, we will adjust our time to make the drop. I refuse to miss a drop...
Thank you all again for your comments, very helpful. -
