half the pay for 1 and 3/4 the miles = 87%

Full pay for normal miles= 100%

Unless you run like a mad man, you wont get enough miles to make up for splitting your pay with another driver

Everyone say that until they get off an 11 hour driving shift dead tired. If you tired enough you will fall asleep.

So you get less pay as a Team driver? I wanted to go team with the other half, because I thought we would get equal pay as team drivers, and still be able to stay together etc, does going solo actually make more money?

    mje Thanks this.

They are talking about teaming in training, The trainer gets the miles plus a training fee each week. If you are going to team with your wife then you will make what she thinks you should make! I know that is how it is!. Take Care.

tried it, then the trainer thought he would run under my clock on the electronic logs and see how that worked and then run me on his log, Once dispatch got word of that I got off the truck at my Home Town Pilot! I'm not giving anyone my life to do with as they see fit!

In the long run, one is better off being solo.

There is enough stress out on the road, at the truck stops, rest stops, and at the shipping and receiving plants, as it is.

It is NOT worth the stress of having a team driver inside the truck with you on a long term basis, unless it is your spouse. Too many things can and often do go wrong. People by nature, are very territorial.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
