Team starting out with US Xpress

also add tanker fmcsa changed the definition of TANKER so for some of the loads we pull you need it now

 

We both have the tanker endorsement, and I've started the process for HazMat (just waiting on my background check). They won't let her apply for the HazMat until she gets her license. I also asked specifically about the hard copies of the CDL because I saw the trouble you had with it. The recruiter said that since we're from Texas, my wife would be okay with just the paper license; I hope that's the case.

I'm really looking forward to getting out on the road; I hope we get to meet all of you once we're finally driving the US.

 

Been reading this and the blog tonight, my wife and I are going through a school here in Connecticut and just got our CDIP's last week. It's nice to see this comprehensive review of the process with a company. US Xpress is one of the companies we are applying to, as well as Crete/Schaffer and Prime I think. Thanks so much for all the great info!

BTW we =will be getting our Hazmat and Doubles and triples endorsements also...

 

Good to know. My teammate has Hazmat, Doubles and triples, and tanker. I just have hazmat.

 

Working hard to get wife to get her hazmat, maybe you all can give her some encouragement to get it. I plan on getting my tanker endorsement by next March when time comes to renew liscense.

 

Does U.S. Xpress go into Canada?

 

Yes they do but, I think they have a fleet that does that... I have my passcard and have never been asked to go there...
