if you just stop to fix it at any truck stop you will not be repaid for it? How long is the factory warranty on a 2012 freightshaker?

You cannot get it fixed unless authorized. No way they would pay truck stop rates for A/C repair. We just got permission to run it to Freightliner. Truck is in the shop and should be done tomorrow. Another day off.

Hey Linda and I are in Tunnel Hill this week for Orientation, we finish on Friday. Hope you get it fixed at Freightliner instead of coming to Tunnel Hill, but it would be great for us to finally meet you two in person. We both passed our physical's, drug tests, road tests today, and the people are much nicer than we expected, especially GG, or Georgette the tester/trainer. We finish on Friday afternoon, and we will see when we leave out from there. Really hope you guys get that A/C fixed, sure you aren't in much of a mood to meet people all hot and sweaty. I know there isn't much to laugh about at this point...but still trying to put a smile on your faces. :biggrin_25523:

After we get things sorted out, will do a great many more posts and personal stories. Maybe even a blog like Craig and Anne, but not with their style and class I'm sure. This is and has been a total life change for us. But we always do things together. USX was the best of the worst from what we could gather in the beginning of our journey. After a time, we actually began to think that they aren't half bad. A slight bump was a toothless trainer driving a USX truck and pulling an Arnold trailer that stopped by the JAX Roadmaster school and severely didn't impress my wife. But the trainers we met and saw today, although some were/are a character, seemed to be generally good people.

They put you up in the Baymont inn, formerly Best Western, not much to look at, but compared to some other places we have seen and had other truckers tell us about, it is not half bad. Honestly, so far, most people, even those a little short on patience, seem to want us to succeed.

And the drivers transferring from other companies, are the ones we had read and heard about and would expect. They also talked alot about dedicated routes today, and gave some people some numbers to call. Companies like WalMart, Kroger, Dollar General or was it Family Dollar and I think Dollar Tree. We are going team OTR so it didn't apply to us directly, (we think :) but it was still interesting to hear, and they gave several drivers some phone numbers to call to inquire about the Dedicated. There is another married couple in our orientation class, and a woman transferring from PAM. She didn't really talk bad about PAM, but wanted to get away from a boyfriend situation. FFE didn't get a good report, nor did the usual suspect of TransAm.

But I guess, as people say, it is what you make of it. Plenty of people, hopefully not us, complain about USX, but we hope and will work hard to make USX a good experience. So far, so good with USX, no big complaints so far. But our big issue, is will the wife get a good trainer on Friday, that is the $64,000 dollar question at the moment.

Not for the A/C but my safety award is sitting at Tunnel Hill Outbound so we will get by sometime in the near future.

They had to order a part, we will get out tomorrow afternoon.

Congrats! Thanks for the video inside your truck. Very well organized.
