WhoooHooo! We are in our new truck. (not really, we are in a hotel, but we HAVE the new truck) and we have moved all our stuff in. We rolled into Irving at about 11:00 AM this morning with Anne having 44 minutes left on her 70 hour lock and I had a whooping 3 minutes on mine. We got the contracts all signed and then went out for a nice steak dinner, I love me some bone-in ribeye Gonna do a bit of shopping tomorrow and then we will roll out tomorrow night when my reset is done on the new gig. Very excited about the new adventure and a little weird to not actually be USX employees anymore. Also weird to be driving a green truck even if it does say US Xpress on the side.

    ATL-1 Thanks this.

Saw your pics on the blog. Nice truck. Looking forward to
Hearing about the interior space differences between all the
Different trucks you have had. Is it new? If not how many miles
    on it? Good luck.

Largest interior so far. We feel like there is room to ramble around in here. I was standing making coffee this morning while Anne was making the bed. We could have never done that in the ProStar. Full storage under the bed and the bed is about 8 inches wider. Had to buy all new bedding and a new 4" memory foam topper but totally worth it.
The truck is a 2005 with 840,000 quality miles on it. This baby just needs to last about 9 months to pay off big time and it is in great shape.

We are thinking a new Pete is in our future.

I need help!!! My husband is currently in tunnel hill GA. Did the orientation. Got assigned a trainer for his 3 weeks and went to load up this morning. Turns out the trainer had been in discussions with everyone else about training his cousin instead. So now my husband is there. They did pay for his room one more night. But they have been sending people home left and right due to lack of trainers!! They really don't tell him anything. Just wait until tomorrow. Our recruiter Tanya Rogers said oh they will get him a trainer today. Is there anything that we can do???? We just want him to get on te road and get these 3 weeks done!!! Can anyone provide some advise? We heard USX was great for teams which is what we will be after January. (I have to stay and wrap stuff up) but he is so upset that he really is considering leaving and going with CRST. I told him I really hadn't heard anything super positive about that company. Just to try to be patient.

Take deep breaths. I know it sucks when you are waiting but this is a short term problem. Your recruiter does not have a clue what the training situation is. Only the training manager can answer those questions. Whatever you do, DON'T go to CRST. Everyone I know that has gone there has regretted it. There are other options if you really cannot wait a few days. Back two years ago, my wife had to wait three weeks for a trainer. That is an extreme example but it can happen. She stuck it out, got a great trainer and we are very happy and making very good money.

    STap Thanks this.
