48 pages and folks are still arguing about what brand is best. Brings back many memories of school days. Ford, Dodge and Chevy wars.

.I'm VERY happy for you and maybe there's hope for you after all.

Yeah you wanna talk about big Mickey, you have a pic of a old 80s w900B with small bunk, come park that pos next to my W900 and take a pic.... Your argument about 20k front axles is retarded.... out front axle is way out there, we dont sit in front of it, we dont put that much weight on it. Come to the US and look at volvos hollow axles then come back and post how heavy they are. WHen i was hauling steel hauling 140k lbs on the trailers at times i bet i never had more than 12,000lbs on the front anyway.... That D16 is a pile of crap, it dont last, look at tryck paper with so many of them with 300k miles having overhauls done already... They burn more oil than diesel. DOnt knock the american product, as far as engines are concerned im sure CATERPILLAR will out last every single one your pos V8 scanias and volvos.

Kinda like beating a dead horse - or kicking a puppy, ain't it? :smt064:smt075

Didnt see he got banned, oh well, i just hate it when people try to knock American products.
-
What's even still 100% made in America these daze?
It sounds like European Volvos aren't the same as they are here in the States, so isn't that like comparing apples and oranges?
EVERYbody has personal preferences and opinions, as well they should. One size doesn't fit all, I hear. And agree.
Personally, I don't like the looks of a Volvo, but, the more I look at them, the more they remind me of a Can-Am race car. I DO like those.
Personally, I prefer the good looks of a Peterbilt or a W-900 --- even a Freightliner Classic, and I have experience in those Big trucks. But I have NO experience in a Volvo,...... yet.
Would I drive a Volvo Big truck?
Sure --- under the right conditions.
If I was offered a tricked out Peterbilt at 26 cents a mile, and a Volvo at 40 cents a mile, and weekly mileage being equal, it would require a decision on my part. But that decision wouldn't take me too long to make.
I'm all for agreeing to disagree, but I draw the line at knocking someone for THEIR personal preferences.
BTW, just curious, but have YOU ever driven a Volvo?
-
Yes i have, its to soft for my liking, the dashboard rattles really bad, and i dont care for the enormous windows.... If i was a company driver i could care less what i drive as long as i made money, but i own my truck, i own my trailer, and the signs on the door also belong to me. So you see i will drive what i like and something i can close my doors in after i get home and not have to worry about fixing crap before i go back out, thats a PACCAR product with a yellow engine. As far as volvo or scania lovers knocking KW's or Pete's, no they are not right, its a far superior product.

I mean come on this...
Or this

Thanx for the reality check.
NICE truck --- and I think you know which one I'm talkin' 'bout.
Right?
