Tell me about Volvos

Well I thank you for that Sand....And the thread was asking an opinion on the Volvo...One lie lead to another and we find ourselves here.The Largecar crew has truced you Volvo guys a couple of times and stated the obvious to you several times..DO YOU'RE OWN THING...PEACE AND PROSPERITY TO ALL..But yet you insist on keeping the pot stirred.We were willing to shut it down several posts ago but we can hardly do that with someone talking trash about us.I'll truce you again...Do your own thing,pay for what you like and may the force be with you or whatever you Volvo drivers say to each other at your secret meetings.ClucK ClucK is our password.See I trusted you with some real top secret info there,so chill out.

If you are out on the road playin Smokey and the Bandit, In today's economy you wont be for long. If I read correctly you are a student driver. Muleskinner does not even say if he is a trucker. Look at his info. I am a trucker. I have 3 yrs and $180k invested in my business and I take it very seriously. Azdude you make your own decision about who knows what the deal is. Someone who is truthful and says something you dont want to hear, or someone who is full of themselves and tells you what you want to hear. Times are tough for drivers right now especially if you dont drive for a megacorp outfit. Fuel is 40% of operating expense and growing. The difference between 5 mpg and 6.5mpg is huge when running solo for 120,000+ and 250,000 miles as a team. Fuel is currently $4/gal you do the math.

 

I full and well understand all that was written between both of you,,, My main gripe is when the man tried to bow out gracfully you would not let him,,, but you probaly dont see that point either

And you are very right in what you are saying about fuel milage,, the diffrence would make an upgraded truck payment if you are looking at it from your prospective,,, but muleskinner didnt see the big fuel saving from one of his buddies,,, thats all,,, but he is driving american iron that kept some one here working,,, hopefully we can drop some of our old time manufacturing ways in the heavy truck industry,,, them aybe we wont be having this chat about trucks from korea next,,, agree???

 

Volvo's are assembled in Virginia. He drives a Pete and this thread was about Volvo. He jumped on here and insulted the Volvo drivers without any provocation. He would say his last piece while tossing out one final insult. I refused to let him get away with it. Thats all. While defending myself I get accused of doing drugs, not showering and being a foreigner. Forgive me if I seem a little tense about the situation.

Az, how far along in your training are you and who are you training with? I am not the type of driver who will beat down a newbie. It wasnt that long ago I was in your shoes.
