gonna try Great West for the 1st time. My renewal comes up in 2 weeks. Ive already signed on the dotted line with them as they offered the best rate and give a certain type of coverage I didnt ask for.(I think its called non-owned auto) I remember trying to sign up with a broker a few years ago and they required it. I called Progressive and it was gonna be like an extra $700-800 added to the policy term. I declined it. But, its only $59 for the year with Great West.
Tell me why I shouldn’t switch to Progressive for Insurance?

That is who I went with after leaving Progressive.

Great west has an age limit on trucks iirc maybe I don’t remember correctly or maybe that’s changed????
-
may be wrong but I think it’s just 2 years+ authority and either 23 or 25 years old minimum.
They give discounts if you let them see your elogs, I don’t even worry with it, used to give small discount with forward facing camera. -
Pretty obvious Progressive is getting a kickback of some kind,,,

It should be noted, Flo, aka Stephanie Courtney( apparently Courtney is her real name) makes an estimated $8 MILLION bucks a year as spokesperson. Jamie, not so much,,, -
I don't know about that. I went with Great West right out of the gate with my new authority. They charged me $20k the first year. The 2nd year it went down to $15k.

If they do, they must be lenient about this because my trucks are 2009 and 2012.

I don't think Geico Marine is available in all 50 states. I looked for them here in Nevada because my agent was starting to piss me off. I have Great West and am happy with them. But they have this thing where you can't switch agents. If I try to find another broker to get Great West with, they are blocked from quoting me Great West. So, I'm stuck with my original agent. Does anyone know how to circumvent this? I don't understand why Great West will force me to go with an agent I'm not happy with. That's a good way to lose clients.Siinman Thanks this.
