telling false stories

It is not all Drivers...

In school our teacher told a tale of a driver yelling over the CB on the backside of some mountain, "COMIN DOWN HOT"

then he explained what that meant...

then he says, "the last thing we heard over the CB was screaming and metal crunching"

Now that I think about it. Either he had his mic keyed up and locked somehow or he was holding it and talking while he should have been trying to steer! I think the story was BS. At least the second part...

We don't have a terminal in Little Rock...it's West Memphis....and that's because I went by you so fast, you couldn't see me!! That cop couldn't even catch me!

 

I've met a few SEALs myself and found at the last place I worked now has 2 snipers! HHMMN thats really something considering the only have about 7 people working there!

Stories like these are pure entertainment. It is not just in the trucking industry.

I can't tell you how many ninjas I have met. From what I understand, there are probably six or seven standing around me right now.

(Looks over shoulder in a paranoid manner.)

 

"Tall Tales",or the abbreviated "B.S'n" I believe has been around forever,in recent history,I have read of Mountain Men of the Old West having a great time at the fur trading rendezvous,and much more recently,loggers of the North,(Paul Bunyan)and just a couple days ago,(me) when I called my Dad to tell him of my little fishing adventure.,-ever know a fisherman to tell the WHOLE truth,and nothing BUT the truth?

It is GREAT entertainment,and if YOU want to have some,or if you are just feeling ornery,poke holes in their story while it is being told,make them look stupid,and the fun will be all yours..

Still,there is one type of B.S.er which concerns me..The one who BELIEVES their own B.S.,as they may have some serious problems from being alone to much..,Still,they are fun too,as eventually their lies will over-lap,and again,if your feeling ornery,you can point this out to them..

IMO,as long as their is a human race,the B.S. will never stop...and now I am on my way,to,what else,B.S. someone.. "Hey,did you hear the one about...."
