LOL! got the pleasure of going on the Hilti Brampton run yesterday after d/h at Manchester. Just love trying to get back into my own friggin country, plus love knowing our tax dollars go for things like xraying an empty truck! It aint sealed...open the stupid thing and look! What a waste. Now...let's see if I get to go home tomorrow. Delivering in London KY tomorrow, so only a few hrs from home...we'll see how lucky I get.

I run TCD. One week all I did was drop n hooks. Took loads of candy back in forth from Covington, TN to Chicago. I think that its a good place. Went thru St. Louis that week(before turkey day) n seen 5 or 6 TCD drivers heading east on I-64.

They got me a broker load headed to TX so I could get home for the holiday. Went out for lil over 4 weeks, the worst was getting stuck in Upper Penn waiting to get unloaded after Sandy went thru. Sat for 36 hours waiting to get unloaded. After that it was fine. Ran 2400 then two wks of 2800 miles. Gonna get a passcard but every time I get home, the post office is always filled up with appts. Hoping to get it the next time I get home.

I got hung out on the east coast all week. They didn't get me home for the holiday. My Thanksgiving dinner will be a roasted turkey sub with lite mayonnaise at the Pilot in Tallysville VA. I was supposed to get two stops off today, Charlottesville and Virginia Beach, but the traffic on 95 last night screwed that. Now I have to try to get Virginia Beach and Wilmington NC both off Friday and still deliver in Stone Mountain Saturday morning. I have a preplan to pock up in Douglas GA Saturday afternoon that delivers in Berryville AR. My wife has a doctors appointment Monday so they had better have someone at the yard to re-power the chickens.

    Hey Guys
After 50000 in Maverick TCD, truck #12937 I have switched to Nussbaum/Bloomington, IL. Close to my home, all van work, good folks and I like the Volvos.
Maverick was honest and probably one of the best places a newby could start and not be taken advantage of. Monica is going to keep you out 14 minimum and more if she can get it. After talking with three of the guys I hired in with that we all FB drivers none of them was getting home any better. That just the way it is. My trainer himself was on 21 days out when he finally switched to Reichman/Granite City. Now he gets home every weekend like clock work. He stays in touch and seems happy with them.

I think Maverick could get you TCD guys every week end if they chose to do so. Especially midwest guys close to the interstates, hell your driving past your home pretty often.

So it goes. For you guys doing Manchester which I did many times watch out for the gal at the guard shack, she bites. :)

Bites isn't the word for it. She'll flat jump on her broom and ride it up your arse. I talked to one of the yard jockeys and he said she doesn't get along with anyone else who works there either. That's probably why she works out in the shack. He said she's flipped him the bird before.

Go for it. Just let us know so we can contact your next of kin after she rips your head off.

I live outside of Dallas and never get a load past the house. Always the furthest away from home. But thats like all companies. Did have a load going to Ft. Worth to get me home for Thanksgiving, but Tom took the load away from me. Good thing, Conagra in Indy had a shooting. Another driver sat at the flying j til monday night. Which he had a Friday nite appt. Ouch, they still paid him the 800 miles for the weekend.
