We don't deliver directly to stores, its always distribution centers or warehouses.

It varies widely from place to place. Some places are very quick, like ConAgra Foods, and some are really slow, like Tyson. WalMart falls in between. ConAgra tends to be drop and hook, or less than 2 hours if a live load. Tyson can take anywhere from a 3 hours to 12 or more hours, depending on what they're doing. Whenever I go to Tyson, I always drop my trailer and immediately go on my 10 hour break and go to sleep. Most of the time it's ready when I wake up. Tyson is the only TCD customer that can and will make you late on your deliveries. I picked up from one in OK once and they didn't get it loaded until 3 hours after it was due in TN lol. Nice detention pay though :)

WalMart almost always takes right at 3 hours, unless you're late... Then you might be there for 8 or more.

Detention pay at Maverick is $15 per hour for TCD and kicks in after 3 hours past your appointment time, assuming you we're not late.

Could any of you fairly new guys that went thru training in TCD give me a estimate of an average week take home pay for the first six months or so? I'm getting closer to being accepted just trying to figure out my finances before i jump Thanks in advance Mike

For your first 6 months I'd expect around $400 - $600 per week take home, with your first month being the hardest. You won't gross less than 400 because that is the minimum guaranteed, unless there is a holiday or you're not available to run all week (like when you're on home time).
