Certainly; just over $2,620 cad last week before tax and I get home every night, can't be bad in anyone's book, god bless oil!! I also know that the wages are much better living on camp up in fort mcmurray, a friend works there and his wages are roughly 40% better but he ain't got a family to come home to, if you are reasonably fit and are willing to work hard there's money to be made out here. Fair enough cleaning out oil tanks getting covered in water and oil and heavy lifting @ -25 deg celcuis ain't fun sometimes

why did you specify 'before tax' ?

    what relevance does that have?

$2600 wk is decent money, especially for the work youre hinting at...far from excellent, but im sure theres room for more up the ladder.

    edit--12hrs/day or 15?

    lol @ considering saskatchewan home.

Seems to be what everyone specifies over here besides this way you can see what the company pays and the final take home pay is dictated by your personal circumstances.

It's excellent compared to what I was getting at home lately and a hell of a lot better than I was offered from Canadian and especially US long haul companies and the fact I'm home every evening means I also get a normal life. I should have also said I also live in a company house so no rent. Yup I hear of a lot of guys here doing much better but now I'm here with all the tickets and soon should have the experience to move up 'the ladder', you gotta start somewhere and I feel I'm not doing too bad at all, for a beginner that is!

I couldn't care less if it's SK , Alberta or wherever else, it's as good as any to get started in!

I choose to come work in Canada from the US because the pay is way better per mile then the US company's pay.
I am paid the same as all the other drivers.
I am home every weekend and drive by my house in the US almost every day.
I think for the most part the company I work for is a excellent one.
I refuse to drive a truck for what they want to pay you in the US. They also all seem to want you out for at least a month at a time before just a few days off.
If this is what being a indenture servant is all ab out I will take it.
