Some foodservice companies will hire you with only a cdl permit. This way you can learn OJT while earning a paycheck at the same time.
I see those ads all the time from:
McLane Foodservice
Reinhart Foodservice
Sygma Network
Probably get right on with Sygma Network and at least try with McLane and Reinhart because they don't do that at all terminals.
Those guys make at least $70K per year with a full benefits package.
Apply for "Driver Associate" or "Driver Helper" whichever term the company is using. They give you 90 days to get your cdl which is plenty of time and use their truck for the test.
