Tennessee isn't going to mess around

Yes its dumb to not follow the signs. By now, people should know I-40 is closed through there. But, weaponizing DOT ?

 

He needs to post his announcement to TikTok in one of the 108 languages spoken there. "Diversity is our strength, garbage is our reward"

 

It's not a big topic of conversation in the Somali, Yemeni, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic TikTok pages. Just as we don't know the 45 different words for sandstorm in Mogadishu or Ulan Batur, they don't know Hurricane.

 

i see it less as weaponizeing the DoT as actully using it as intended. These people are either unable to read the signs, which is a massive hazard in and of its self btw and also ILLEGAL to begin with. Are too distracted to pay attention to all the warnings. Too entitled or intoxicated (be it achohol meth weed or anything else) to care about rules or in any other way you want to put it. UNSAFE.

You wouldnt be mad at them for putting a drunk out of service. Or someone who was doing 100 through a school zone with kids running around. Or the dude who just plowed through 20 stopped cars because he was watching funny cat vids on youtube. Nor would you be mad their rig got inspected. Why is this diffrent? Because its not.

People have gotten too #### used to the DoT basically not doing their job beyond collecting fines and issueing stickers.

 

Stupid is as stupid does. I’m willing to bet that they aren’t all foreign drivers….

 

Shreveport had the same issue when they banned CMV's through town on 20. I was in a group of 3 trucks going around Shreveport. I'm the only one who took 220, the other 2 went right into Shreveport and I watched one get pulled over right away.

Sounds a bit like weaponizing the DOT to me, though.

Im glad they’re doing what that..it’s beyond time to crackdown on this garbage…

 

There are signs on 81, signs on 40, and signs on 75 as far away as Georgia. Of course, you do have to be able to read English.
