If you don't mind hard work, I'd do anything you can to get on here. I worked for sysco for almost a decade. Super hard physical work. But man you make some good money! And benefits as well.

There are a ton of local yard truck jobs, like LazerSpot, in the Murfreesboro, Smyrna, La Vergne area. Check out the Craigslist for Nashville.
TransForce is a Driver Leasing or Temp Driver service that advertises heavily in the Nashville CL.
There is Performance Food Group in Lebanon a food service company. Venture Express is a much better company than Central Transport. I think Averitt Express is running at least half of the yard moves at Nissan in Smyrna.
The OP should park at some of the convenience stores across from Nissan and get truck company names as they serve Nissan. I don't know how the pandemic has changed home-daily jobs in Murfreesboro, but I believe Nissan is either open now or very soon will be. Nissan in Smyrna needs tons of equipment & drivers and that's where I would look first, the companines supplying equipment & drivers.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Is Averitt Express hiring new cdl grads for local P&D?

Nissan still not gave back to work date. Venture handles most that work. And they require a year.

WOW that's a joke. My 19 yr old son makes double that in a dump truck.Chinatown Thanks this.

May be ok for an 18 yr. old high school student that needs some vaping money.

I know Univeral does some shuttle driving over to Nissan and they was hiring switchers before the shut down with no experience. I'm just hoping when everything opens back up business will go back to usual and it will be some opportunities with a lot of those companies.Chinatown Thanks this.

I been seeing that Lazerspot job listing posted. I got them on my radar to check out. I don't know anybody that has any experience with them to find out the good and bad with the company.

Huff & Puff up the road in Bradyville hires new drivers.

Hey there! You're in my stomping grounds!!! Grew up there. If you dont mind commuting to Nashville, apply to Dr. Pepper Snapple Group. I used to work there. When I was there, it was more drivers that had never gone OTR as opposed to the ones that had. Many of those vendor jobs in the area have drivers that have never gone OTR. I would even take a gamble and try PFG in Lebanon. There's also Haynes Bros and Southland Brick and Block right there in Murfreesboro but I dont know about qualifications. All are worth a try.Jdwaters Thanks this.
