I called him today and the other day to ask his advice. I figured he was the one to ask as I only don't have anyone else's phone number.

    TennMan Thanks this.

I'm going to post my numbers this week to make a point.

Started in Phoenix went to Wilmer Tx.
    Wilmer to Laredo
    Laredo to Bordentown NJ

    Less than 2 miles DH

    I ran 3207 miles total

    1.34 a mile average.

    Revenue of 4297.38

    Settlement of 1750.76

And I Ended the week with almost 3/ 4 tanks of diesel. Started with about 1/4 tank of fuel.

My point is even at 1.34 a mile if a person is willing to run then they can still make money.

I left Phoenix on Wed. Afternoon and was home Sunday left Monday morning and drove to NJ.

So I worked 5 days and had 2 off ( 1 in Phoenix and 1 at home.

I know I could've done alot better but I wanted to go to Phoenix and then went home. ( I took a load Tuesday back home til Thursday.) So even running cheap but running I made 1750.76 (before taxes.)

The beauty of choice is its just that a choice.

I have 2 quick questions. What happens if you pick an available load that is past it's loading window? I also see a lot of live loads with 2 or 3 day pick up windows. Does that happen a lot or am I looking at it wrong?

You have to call to book a load if its past the window. The system won't allow you to assign the load if you can't make the scheduled appointments.

There are some customers that don't care when you show up, but its not a bad idea to call on those if its showing confirmed but with a window of more than a day. CS sometimes doesn't update everything when the load comfirms.
