You would be surprised who would open their mouth and tell on themselves.
I listen to drivers doing it all the time.
I made that statement because of a conversation I was having about relay charges with a guy in my ica group (icr) and that situation was the topic and how many he's had to charge.
Again, was told no charge if you didn't know you might be having issues with your truck. -
I did not know until light came on.
They did not even ask if I knew or what the issue was other than when it broke down.
I am not giving up I'm gonna fight the 400 I'm just saying where it stands now.mickimause Thanks this. -
Was told at orientation, and its in the ICOA if you cannot deliver a load you've already picked up and a company truck is sent to recover the load you will be charged unless its not your fault.
Your truck breaking down is on you regardless of wether or not you "knew" there was a problem.
I think $400 is too much but I can understand them charging something.Pork Chop Express Thanks this. -
You are correct the only way contractor is not charged 400 is IF anot her iIC picks up the relay.
Just got off phone with my ICA.
So they win again.
There's no reason I should be charged the 400 the load is still here it's 300 miles from consignee and still has time on the delivery.
So they're sending a company team here to pick the load up.PoleCrusher Thanks this. -
$400 for rely is cheap!!! I will pay that all day everyday! Its much better than renting a truck. When we book the loads it is our responsibility to get it there. Just my view of the policy. Sorry to hear your broke down
TennMan Thanks this.
