Ooooh and by the way they have an excess mileage charge of anything over 2900 a week..i forgot exact cpm but it can add up...so if he's really running 3500 miles a week hes getting hit with an excess mileage of 600 miles a week.. No good business owner would do that unless he or she doesn't wanna make any money... another lie lol

...the "excess mileage" charges mean you're paying your truck off faster. The money doesn't just vanish, they don't just take it from you for ####s and giggles. They don't want you depreciating the rig's value way beyond what you still owe on it. Just for clarification, and just in regards to those who are actually purchasing the truck, not doing a walk-away lease.

You get it back at the end of your lease"if" your truck is in the proper condition but they take it out of your settlement every week so unless your truck is in tip top condition and they don't find nothing to be wrong with your truck which we all know they find something you never get back every dollar you lose a week

I know for a fact that SFI will not let you get your own authority.
I talked with my lease rep many times when I was still leasing.
You can only take the truck to a approved carrier.
There are ''others'' here who lease and claim to have their own authority and still run with SNI.
It is what it is..I really don't care who did what or how much they made.

I know NOTHING about how Prime's lease works so I can't say one way or another.

To each his own..make money the best you can and keep moving forward.
For those who do have their own authority..congrats.
Maybe some day I'll join your ranks..or not.
I really don't want to work all that hard anymore..so I'll just press this:

Exactly I've asked many times and I'm even in my last year and they wont let me.. And nobody here has their authority is they're leasing through SFI especially if they're still on the Choice board. That would make zero sense..i don't care either way I'm just not gonna sit back and let guys blow smoke up our arses as if we're in a truck stop.. Having your own authority doesn't make you richer and it's more u headache I've heard... It's no real reason to lie to us.. He should've never thru in he still leasing from Prime lol. He put his foot in his mouth

I figure I burn a good amount on tolls just running into and out of the NE.
So that is a plus with SNI.
Most days I can catch high paying loads on short runs so that's another plus.
Of course trying to Escape from NY(Snake Plissken style) is where I take the hit(All of the NE most of the time).
But I can afford to run a bit cheaper than the lease guys so it equals out.

I think the biggest problem I have is the stigma of pulling a orange trailer for the ### clowns in GB.
It just doesn't feel right even after 2+ years.

Yea things have definitely changed since I've been here but it works for me I guess but I am getting bored with general freight... And I wanna play my truck off easier and faster.. So I'm thinking of maybe getting into flatbed
