I got pulled in the scale house in Oregon right after Easter Rollin at night get the stop bring everything in. I go in my plate on my truck comes back to my LLC. Go Pro Trucking when I go in she says where is your permit I pull out the permit for weight. She says your bills say your pulling a load for Schneider, yes I am well your Go Pro Permit won't cover this load....you need a weight permit from Schneider or its 400.00 plus dollars...I give her the Ive been up and down this road so much why now speech she says you have 15 minutes to get a permit. I call Schneider and yep someone forgot faxed and all good. Bottom line she pulled me because of my LLC and name based on my plate. What's worse I live in Denver western 11 is my backyard. I guess what I am trying to say is some guys use LLC for there business some don't. My title on my SFI truck says GOPro Trucking I don't have a Schneider plate on the front.

This is news to me because for as long as I've been here me and a host of other drivers have been denied the ability to get our own authority while leasing a SFI truck.. it's always been no unless you get outside financing.. Hmmm
-
You may have your LLC name like I do and many others but we're running under Schneider Authority so that's why Oregon requires you to have it under Schneider name
-
Do you pay for tolls? Are you on paper logs? What are the differences?
-
When you run a non Schneider run under your own authority you have to still use the Quallcom so when you come back to the board Schneider knows what HOS you have left etc. They also turn off your fuel card. If any of you want the step by step process or approvals given by Schneider just PM me your email and I will shoot it all out to you and you are more than welcome to show my approval to who ever at Schneider that tells you No. It did take me about 3 months to get all the appropriate approvals. The hardest part is really the insurance.

Captain Daveredoctober83 and T_TRUCKER. Thank this. -
Do you run paper logs that's the main question because if you are running elogs you're still runningunder Sni authority
-
You run Elogs and under load you put in your authority and trailer etc. Schneider gives you a trip lease. The Quallcom is simply a time keeper so you don't exceed you 70 HOS etc

Isn't this all covered in the ICOA under "trip lease"?....
You just lease to your own authority, correct?.....
Roll on....redoctober83 Thanks this. -

I'm not discrediting you at all... I'm just baffled at why SFI says we can't run under our own authority when we really can from what you're saying
