Sorry, Buddy. I remember driving the same truck for almost 2 years when I first started my career and not one burp out of it. I havent had a truck post dpf/def/CARB/whatever, that hasnt thrown numerous codes and been just a PITA. I would have a hard time trusting current trucks

Well KW hasn't even looked at it. Been there since Saturday but I do know they don't do Warranty work on weekends or after hours.
SFI told me to keep them informed "being down a couple days isn't bad" I was told. Also told they keep fixing it so what's the problem.....LMAO seems that it's going to be a struggle.... but I'm not backing down.scythe08, 91B20H8 and redoctober83 Thank this. -

I know from where I'm leasing my truck I've been fighting a really bad vibration some day 1 and the freightliner rep at leasing company told me once we figure out what is really causing this issue we'll go back and refund you the money you've spent the past year and a half.
That's how sfi should be working with you with how big they are. Does your lease contract have an option for a loaner truck while you're down? -
redoctober83, TennMan and 91B20H8 Thank this.

Thanks it's just the beginning. All I want is to be able to run and generate revenue and profit for me and SFI and SNI.

keep track of your lost revenue as well.......when the dude backed into my truck and it had to go to the body shop, I told the insurance folks I needed $500 a day in lost revenue and they paid it.

my son is a snapon tool dealer. he bought a new tool truck last year.
looks like a bread truck but it's a freightliner M chassis. cummins 8.2 with allison trans. same chassis they use for motorhomes
original cost was $138,000 .
he's had so many problems with no starts etc they actually had a freightliner factory tech stay in a motel near his house for 2 weeks to try and diagnose the recurring intermittent electrical problems and switching just about every control board.
he lost weeks where he had to use his pickup to do his route with a lot of lost revenue ($20,000 gross a week on average) .
the dealer is taking back the truck and giving him $130,000 trade on a new one .
getting a Hino cab/chassis now that cost $170,000 ......everyone says they are the most reliable over the kw's and pete's they offer that seem to have a lot of issuesscythe08, sealevel, TennMan and 1 other person Thank this. -
TennMan Thanks this.
