I only want new. through the years I have driven Freightliner Peterbilt Volvo and all of them have broken down at one point or another however with regular routine maintenance knowing your truck and taking care of the small stuff when they happen instead of letting it build up.

Schneider isn't fine call bose right now strictly because they can't get a good enough price on them so they can make money off leasing them.

Just remember SNI's opinion on Volvos is also based around the fact that they don't lease any Volvos and want you to lease a Cascadia, T680 or a 589. If they got great deals on the Volvos they would tell you all the other brands suck lol.

Volvo has improved a lot over the recent years and finding a place to get one repaired isn't as much of a nightmare as it used to be. Super comfortable trucks. If I were to purchase a brand new truck a Volvo with the newest ISX in it would be a nice truck. Heavy though. That's what I've heard drivers with them complain about more than anything is the weight.

Exactly especially with these new trucks, they're ALL gonna have problems (especially with - guess what - emissions crap!). Pick the one you like and the one with a place you can get it serviced and repaired nearest your house and go.

I just prefer a new truck mainly because I know where it's been. You might be surprised with all the things that are impacted by the driver. More things than most realize. Shifting, RPMs, fluid levels, lugging the engine, washing, cleaning interior, maintenance sched., proper cool down before shutting engine.

I could go on and on. Also realize the TRUE cost of a breakdown. Labor, parts, maybe hotel, lost revenue.

For me personally, I like to go new, take great care of it all around, pay it off and keep it for the long term. IMHO

$3000 of it is a security deposit which SNI doubles and returns to you at the end of the lease

I was riding down the road the other day and it dawned on me why Tenn Man decided to go with Schneider. If has to do with the orange trucks and trailers. They remind him of the general lee. I know I am slow it takes me a while.

I can say that since 2004 SNi has been good to my family. I choose Schneider because of the comfort level I have with them ( at times it's tested though ) and the fact that in this business staying moving is the key to the game and SNI has the freight base to get me where I need to be. And the Orange didn't hurt either.......LMAO

Not aimed directly at this quote but I'm going to ask it anyway.. Why the hell does everyone I come across think leasing is going to Fail, Blowup, Eat you alive, Kill your children, Make your wife sleep with the Puff state marshmallow man. I don't get this, Hell I have leased thur Knight for a few years now one of the so called "Fleecing company's" yet I'm still here. I make decent enough money for my needs (More then a company driver) and all in all I'm generally happy, I don't get what all the darn negativity is to all this crap. Did these guys try it out once and fail so now they think NO one can do it ? (SNI, Knight, Swift, CR Crapton, Lessor the list goes on and on. No matter where you lease out of why does everyone think your going to fail ?)

Anyone able to shead some light on this.

    /rant off.
