They still foot all the expenses while it's pure profit from us ICs. They make money off all but the company drivers haul all the cheap stuff we don't usually so I'd say IC is more profitable as well as our customer service on time pick up and delivery as well as claims are better than company since it's us who pay if we screw up.

Well why does Schneider waste their time with cheap freight... well nevermind I guess you can do that with drivers getting .35 lol
-
It's not just SNI it's all companies that haul the cheap freight. It's market based and that's determined by area and truck availability. They continually claim a driver shortage but it's an abundance of drivers that are driving down the rates because of market saturation. Well thats my opinion but like they say we all have one.
kgbigholler and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this. -
I have a question, I didn't want to make a new thread for this so tenn man I thought I'd hi jack yours and maybe get some advice from you experienced guys.
for the past week I've been dealing with SNI and sFI got the word today that I'm aprroved by both, so now I just need a truck, ok so the nice woman helping me told me that they did not have any freightliners available until the end of March, and the premium trucks not till April. The only thing she told me they have ready are 2012 cascadias from Roehl the one im looking at has 279k and total payments are 644.00 wkly, thought that was sorta high but maybe not. She also told me this truck has a 5 year 500k warrenty left covered by Detroit. Can someone tell me if this is a good deal or just wait? It's a 52 week term and then I plan on buying my own truck, but I would rather not be spending all my money just to keep a truck I don't plan on owning running so I can make money. Does anyone have any advice or suggestion on what I should do? The truck looks very clean but the "2012" scares me a little. Thanks in advance -
I would wait if you can. I wouldn't want 644 a week on a truck where the dpf filter is about due to be replaced also no telling how the truck was treated or what shape tires are in among a host of other things. I personally would wait. Does the 644 include maint. I doubt it but really why do they have roehl trucks anyways

March is 6 weeks away for a new truck that's what I'd do. Unless you need to earn and don't have a job as of right now.
T_TRUCKER⢠Thanks this. -
Roehl runs mostly mid roof trucks. Did you ask if it's a double bunk? Roehl does have some condos, they use them for training. Just a thought.

Ok mcp 200 has went haywire. Keeps cutting on and off and only gets blue omnitracs screen and tech support is no help. Any suggestions? I've tried unplugging it at black box tried control alt delete tried all I know.

Did tech support try rebooting from the satellite? You can also call Qualcom tech support directly. I believe their phone number is on the laminated quick start card.
