What year is your 680? I'm getting a 16, I feel good about it, I was almost going to get the freightliner just because of the year lease but after thinking about it I will be happier with a truck I actually want

 

People always seem to underestimate how much this actually affects a driver. Having a truck you care about vs a truck that is just there to make you money can make a huge difference in how you take care of it and your gen happiness on a road. Not to mention one can feel alot better about there choice if its one they can see them selfs in for the long term.

The SFI 680 comes with the swivel passenger seat? Correct?

Yeah when I drove for Millis, my 680 had a lot of silly small problems the 1st year. Then all was good the second year.

 

Yes we are working to make a living, however, money is just a tool. What is most important is "quality of life". Liking your truck is key.

 

Thats how I felt about it, I have a cascadia right now and I don't mind it, other than it being an auto which I truly hate more than I can describe. I'm looking forward to getting started with this. It's been a long time in the works and it FINNALY felt like the right move to make. Also the premium trucks come with an apu and that's a huge plus for me. I hate idling

 

Amen to a diesel APU! Keep batteries charged, warm motor, and runan AC compressor. Also the truck motor keeps the APU motor warm. Good design concept.

I agree, even though I haven't started yet I am beginning to dislike dispatch more and more. And the thought of running my own horror show sounds awesome

 

I tell my wife that at least now I'm in a little more control of the craziness.
