Hell it messes up the cruise anyway..I end up turning mine off because of it. You get within 1/4 mile of someone and you start slowing down. I know they think it's for safety, but it's a piece of ***t

It's there to prevent you from riding up folks back side and tailgating. I have very little issues with mine. I stay away from cars and can read what the Traffic is doing before it activates. I see how alot of super truckers are flying up on slower traffic, switching lanes like a nascar driver. My dad does it and I hate it. Folks like that will not b able to adjust to it.

I see your point and I'm far from a super trucker..It's just new to me and I find it hard to get used to it...I can see the traffic and how it flows, it's mainly that dang beeping that gets under my skin.

The main issue I have with mine is that it's way too touchy. I had the older version on the company truck I was driving, and didn't mind it all that much. But if I'm going 70 and come up behind a vehicle going 65, it'll actually slam on the brakes the instant it detects the other vehicle, at a range of about 600 feet. I don't need the #### thing slamming on the brakes that far out. It almost got me rear ended twice in the city. The old version casually slowed the truck down over the distance, sometimes so slowly I didn't even notice until I looked down and realized I had slowed down. But this one is beyond ridiculous and I can't stand it.

And when I say "slam on the brakes", I mean that it hits them hard enough that I jolt forward and the seat belt locks up.

If you read the traffic well ahead before it even activates then why does it even need to be on the truck in the first place? I doubt the super truckers are weaving in and out of traffic with the cruise on.

I know that on mine when i go thru a shadowy area it some times hits the brakes rather hard, not enough for a critical event but enough to jolt you.
