Big question is…if this was just minor accident, then was there something else that occured because usually companies don’t just up and fire a driver for a minor incident/accident..what was the accident??

    He lied to you.

It will affect you. You were terminated for it. You will have to explain it.

The company most likely reports to HireRight (aka the DAC report) and it will show up.

Now if that’s the only one you have had it won’t be a bar to employment, but it will hinder you from getting the better paying jobs.

Keep us posted. I didn't see your post about being hired by TransAm because it's on the Experienced Truckers Advice, thus I wasn't Alerted.. Best wishes.

When you are fired, the first thing you should do is get legal help right away. You need a professional lawyer to help you to fight for your rights and make sure the company did not violate any laws by firing you. The best thing to do is to call an employment lawyer who can be your most trusted advisor during difficult times like Cummings & Franck, P.C.

Holy crap you can't be serious. Call a lawyer when you get fired. This is trucking where you can get fired for any number of things and good luck proving your rights were violated

And this ladies and gentlemen is a perfect example of why our lovely country has gone down the toilet in the last 50 or so years... Folks are too trigger happy on the litigation.

You can't even open you own front door anymore without the possibility of being sued or arrested... Its a joke.

The first thing you do when you are fired is very politely shake your bosses hand, thank him for allowing you to work for him and wish him a good day as you peacefully leave in seek of a new job with a smile on your face.
