Did you just move the arms up and down or did you push against it with max effort every time? I think you're supposed to go all out as hard as you can.

That's probably why the other guys were sore.

 

Well, I think you can push those with a little effort, but that would fail you. You're supposed to push / pull with Max effort every time if its like the test I took and yeah I was sore to.

If you only do just enough effort to move the machine that will not measure your strength. Just wondering if a Tech failed to explain how the test works.

 

All of these tests and nonsense companies do before hiring a driver. It's not like the OP was doing flatbed. I think what really failed him was the weight requirement. You probably need to be a little heavier. If your belly was hanging out of your shirt, you would have been issued a truck.

 

Years ago, I tried to get on with a regional LTL, Mid States Express, all van freight. They had me take a physical, and a back screen. The back screen showed I have a condition, that I don't have a back problem, but that I'm more prone to back problems. They wouldn't hire me because of it.
Next job was on a flatbed, throwing straps, tarping, rolling tarps, etc. Never any problems.

 

So, if you only got a small muffin top you aint truckin.
