I’ve already taken my permit test & completed school. I’m waiting to take my actual CDL test now. But thank you for the advice!

Slow down. 5 to 10 under posted on none highways will give you more time to set up for your turns excetra. 5 mph under the posted on the big road as well.
Speak up on the inspection, if he or she can't hear you, it's wrong.
    Oh, and breath. Really important.;)

If that’s you in the Avatar, wear something to distract the examiner. He’ll pass you if you slip up. :D;):cool::p

Ummm make to many mistakes, try to remain calm, I remember my first CDL test like it was yesterday, my legs were shaking, had to do the test in Weatherford TX, with a female police officer the trainer had warned me about other drivers who'd made some kind of comments not passing the test so I was so nervous anyway we get in the cab she says do you have any questions before we start? I replied yeah how does one overcome nervousness? Anyway she must of sensed my apprehension and so was talking to me on a more casual basis and it did actually relax me, the only thing I lost points for was when I crossed an intersection with traffic lights on green I forgot to look for oncoming traffic I mean who really does do that anyway just an old habit I guess. Apart from that the test went well and I passed first go. Hope you feel at ease and get through the test with flying colours. Future CDL driver.

CastleNut, MOBee and CAXPT Thank this.

For God's sake, please stay away from that quaint little trucking company on Centennial boulevard. Yeah, the one with the black and white trucks.

    CastleNut and CAXPT Thank this.

oh, you only said, "CDL TEST", you did not specify road/skills or permit testing.

but, DO NOT get distracted by your cell phone, in fact, turn it off.

i'd suggest keeping BOTH side windows open about 1/2 to "hear" horns from others.

    CAXPT and CastleNut Thank this.

    you will do fine.

    it's a test....it is only a test...do not adjust your tv.......

at every trucking company you apply to, then get accepted, you will be tested again...only THAT time, you WILL have your CDL.

testing is nerve wracking at any time.

the CDL tester is not out to get you, he or she has a job to do. he/she could care less if you pass or fail.

    it is not personal

    good luck.

    CAXPT and CastleNut Thank this.
