Testosterone for old guys

Not to pry, but how's your weight? I'm 50lbs over and know that fat makes estrogen. My new ins kicks in May 1st and I'll be asking the new Doc how much effect fat loss would have on my T level. As if I needed another reason to lose weight, since I take 2 meds for hypertension as it is....

 

For fear of needles, try Androgel. Less expensive and you just smear it on. Downsides? Be careful of skin contact with your gal if you have fresh gel on you. The transfer can cause her to have a 5 o-clock shadow, a booming voice, plus she will beat you at arm wrestling.

 

So, does it put lead in the pencil?

I used "the" so its not a personal question , just give us an educated opinion.

 

That all depends...
If your lack of pencil lead (AKA graphite shortage) is due to low testosterone levels, then yes.
Unfortunately a myriad of mental, emotional , and physical possibilities abound

I started Androgel 1.62% about a month ago.
It is a gel (much like Purel hand sanitizer) and you apply a predefined amount to each shoulder-to-neck area.
Let it dry (about 3mins tops) and then put your shirt on. Once a day - in the AM only.
Nasty possible side effects based on their website.

The only side effect I noticed was daily mild-to-moderate headaches, but
I cant really blame the Androgel as there are other variables.

Now the fun part...Androgel has a program called "Restoration" and it caps my monthly out of pocket at $10.

Androgel only comes in 2 strengths and the current program is only valid on the higher dosage.

 

I dont believe there are MUCH differences in risk/side effects of the Androgel vs needles.
At least as far as adding "T" to your system. Those risks are static between
either product.

While Androgel is wet, it is best to avoid contact with others.
Thats the one difference.

The biggest danger with "T" supplements is blood clots (especially in the legs)
and the prostate enlargement/cancer risk.....

 

Sticking yourself ain't so bad if you can put it in the top of the thigh with a small needle. Injected myself every day for three years to desensitize allergies. After a few days you will find places that have no nerves.

 

I have to take it and my wife injects it! It made me jump from 175lbs. Where I had been for 20 years to 210 in two months. At first I added a lot of water and had problems with swelling. I have always eaten VERY VERY WELL so I wondered what am I going to do.
Finally things leveled off and I have not felt this good in years. I have had a large weight room that I added onto my barn years ago, it had been collecting dust for about three years because I just didn't have the energy.

I will say watch you salt, I'm lucky I guess because my doctor has asked me more than once DO YOU EVER EAT SALTY FOODS, watch fatty foods, don't overeat, get out and move that butt. Take care of yourself man this can be your chance to, like me, GET YOUR LIFE BACK.

Good luck driver I've loved it and the people around me have said I look 10 years younger.....and boy do I feel it.

The plus is the ladies around it will notice it, I believe they can smell it, they for sure will see it, enjoy.

I wear Polo style shirts mostly and I've had to buy many new shirts because the ol GUNS WILL NOT FIT. I'm only bragging a little bit here because I've had many many people actually grab my arms and say "#### boy what are you eating, and where do I get some"
