Texas CDL School Recommendations or Comments

Thanks guys for the info. Ive been talking with Melton and they are accepting (among others), SAGE in SA, TDI Dallas, International Schools Dallas. They are offering $1500 reimbursement.

I'm not too worried about the up front costs, I've saved enough $ for tuition, I just want to

A) find solid companies that will hire a new student.
B) go to a school that the majority of those companies will accept
C) have it be a good school

 

There is a little RV park very near the school, fairly cheap, includes water and elec., may be an option for you. They may even have something for rent.

 

Melton is a good choice.
Some good tanker outfits also hire new CDL grads if you have the endorsements, TWIC, passport.
