Is it feasible to run just Texas with a flatbed until I receive my IFTA documents and make decent money? Texas IFTA is taking 8 weeks to process IFTA accounts.
Texas intrastate flatbed until I receive IFTA?

Fixing my truck....AND planning my next load to the NE, lol.
OP, you can make it in Texas. But you're going to work for that money, and so is your truck. Here's an example of a week:
Home base is just Southeast of SA in Floresville.
Take a load from near SA to Weslaco.
Deadhead to Corpus and take a load to Midland.
Deadhead to Leuders and take a load to Corpus.
Take a load from Corpus to Midland.
Deadhead to Slaton, and take a load to Boerne.
Unload Saturday morning, and deadhead back to the house.
Work on the truck rest of Saturday and Sunday.
Start over again on Monday.
$4,800
It's a lot of miles, but it put food on the table while I was waiting on IRP and IFTA. Once you get your decals, you can double your money. Get your New Mexico weight/distance yearly permit, and New York HUT decal. Don't go to the Northeast without a dump valve on your rear axle. I haven't bothered with KY permit, because it's easy to avoid that state.Speed_Drums, singlescrewshaker, cke and 1 other person Thank this. -
Thank you,I definitely appreciate it.With all those miles I’ll stick to the Frac sand hauls from SA to Helena till the IFTA decals come in.I drive through Floresville a few times a day and usually grab Whataburger there in Floresville since I can park along the curb grab the food curbside and go haul some more sand lol.Hopefully you got that coolant deal squared away.Tug Toy, singlescrewshaker, cke and 1 other person Thank this.

Still haven’t received my IFTA and want out of sand hauling bad since we are being moved from south Texas to shot hole west Texas.Ready to pull the trigger on a trailer and run intrastate until the IFTA eventually arrives but still torn between flatbed and stepdeck.
