Schnieder is just providing drivers for schlumberger who is providing the equipment. It is peterbilts with small sleepers for the most part. My problem with them is that they are essentially competing with me without laying out the cash to buy the specialized equipment. Also their salary is about 2500 less a month than my hands make on hourly with the same hours.

Haulhand are you saying you pay over 7 grand a month to each driver? Do you need experience to get that kind of money?
Edit: And do you offer relocation assistance and tuition reimbursement as well as all the fringe bennies?Last edited: Oct 18, 2011

Haul hand are you hiring.... I like working for Schneider however i'm able to be converted.... I was thinking of moving to casper for one of the oilfield jobs they're offering but if i can work for the company itself i'd rather do that.

Guys I am hiring but my guys work in ND. I require 2 years experience and I don't hire out of schools. My guys make between 6500 and 11000 a month working 100 to 140 hours a week never driving past 70 though. Also oversize experience is a plus.

I am from Texas ... South Texas is looking for drivers and the oil fields are a booming. Your best bet is to get on with one of the well service co. A butt load are in Alice Texas about 30 miles out of Corpus Christi. A lot of new houseing around. I hope this helps. But be warned!!!!!!
The oil field is hard to get out of. A lot of hours and a lot of money.
