They screwed me on that aspect also. The sticker on the trailer says "26k with 17.5 wheels" yet they gave me the trailer with 16" 10 ply...

Looking hard to upgrade those wheels now with minimal loss. I'm already at a 5-6k loss.

Screw TPT. Worthless trailers and worthless warranty and according to 2 trailers also the employees either don't know what they are doing or don't give a ####. Probably my dumbest move yet was dealing with them.

Oh, also the trailer bucks like a bronco when empty. Way too much weight behind the wheels and the front is super light. Also, impossible to get to the ramps when there is a car on the rear extensions... I can go on and on.

That's total BS that they falsify the data plate. If that's the equipment listed, that what it should be on the trailer!!

A quick fix for you might be throw some 14ply rubber on there. I ran the Samson GL285T 235/80r16 G rated for about 2 years with 100% success. They were cheap too, ~$125 a piece ordered from simple tire. Bought them during one of their many sales, free shipping. I hear the Sailun s637 in same size is good too. I had to run the 80 profile because of clearance on my lo-pro gooseneck, but you can probably go 85 profile & there are many more choices. I know the 17.5" is better, but this will get you by for a few years..

I sure don't miss the ol' spring ride buck, that's for sure. The new air ride chaparral ii is smooth as a babies bum!! How does TPT expect you to stow the ramps when using the rear flips!!? Dummy's!! Might have to get you some ramp hangers on the side, similar to what the Take 3 uses.?

Even this $45k trailer has stupid little things I am dealing with. One of the height adjustable twist locks was froze/rusted up & I spent a couple hours working it free. There is a stop bolt in the winch track making about 12' of the track unusable. (for now) They wired the rear axle dump switch to a separate 4way round plug, instead of the center pin on the 7way..

I mentioned the falsified vin plate and they claimed clerical error and then said that I opted out of getting the 17.5 wheels because I was in a hurry, but I guess I wasn't in too much of a hurry to wait a few hours on getting the rear ramps welded on... smh.
Warranty officer told me to come back and they will swap the wheels, fix the welds and relocate the ramps. They did just 2 out of 3. Got the 17.5 16 ply wheels and they redid the weld. Mechanic refused to relocate the ramps and stated that this is their design. I'm out of steam to argue so just said whatever, swap the wheels, fix the bad weld and let me go. I'll pay a welder to do what I want and really just didn't want to be there anymore.
Just as I was ready to leave, they use a forklift to move the trailer around the lot and then lift it so you can hook up to it. Forklift operator then grazed my cab as he was moving away. Went to the body shop and got an estimate for repairs. Came out to $350. They cut me a check and I left. Hopefully I never need to come back here ever again. From here on out I'll pay for any repair that might be needed.

And it's too bad, this is the only 26k wedge trailer I can find on the market and am looking for something similar for a driver that I am adding to my company. They lost all future business from me and from anyone I know.

Btw, face to face they are respectful, professional and apologetic. Over the phone I got blamed, called a liar, insulted and spoken down to. If you have to deal with them I would recommend any negotiation done face to face. This is the finale to my review.

The center pin on the 7 way plug is for the ABS on the trailer, that's why they did it the way they did.

They claim their wedge trailer rated at 26k lbs? What axles does it have? 10k axles? I've got a 2014 BigTex 20AC on the market for reasonable price.

I saw the wedge you got on their website and see the 3" extensions being listed. In the pictures and the video overview the ramps look like they are 3' long like the description says, but they are clearly mounting so only a part of that is usable. In the video the person says that they only extend the trailer 2'. I think you may have been confused with the length of the flip outs vs the actual extension they provide. This is what I've seen with other trailer brands as well. From a structural standpoint you'll lose strength if you don't position the hinge in like they did. I'm sure they didn't want to do anything that would change the engineered design and possibly cause a failure down the road. All the other things you mentioned are legit, but the extension issue seams to be an oversight on your part.

BTW, I have a 42' PJ deckover that has many of the issues you talked about. I went with PJ because they are supposed to be the step up from Bigtex (same owner). I have had really bad issues with the powercoat coming off and rusting under it. Also had issues with an axle that wasn't aligned and caused 6 tire failures. Biggest problem is the crappy welds and how they tend to use a torch to make a hole rather than cutting it out before hand. My 7-way as also had issues and I've had to rewire the connections due to the crimps failing and rusting. Not fun, so I can understand your pain. I don't think anyone makes a perfect (or near perfect) trailer. I think it's too many hands building them and not enough oversight to make sure simple problems don't get out of hand. Probably because of the size of these companies.

This video does a great job showing the exact same issues I've had:

Nope, rear extensions are advertised as 3 feet and they stick out 3 feet past the trailer. They are 6 feet in total. Front extensions stick out 22 inches past trailer and are 3 feet total.
Not only that but the rail that the winch cable runs through starts before the extensions do and is too high to get anything except an suv on there as the bumpers hit the rail before the front wheels reach the extensions.

I redid it all and paid a welder to start the extensions before the stupid rail and the rear extensions where already bending less than a month of use. I didn't even use them more than a couple of times. Had the rear extensions rebuilt as well. They dont bend anymore.

I'm out about 2500 dollars of repairs to a brand new trailer and its usable now. 12k axles haven't given me any trouble.

I lost a lot of money to TPT.

I'm still confused by your post regarding the extensions being 3'. They clearly stay that they are 2ft in front and 2ft in back. Where are you seeing 3ft? Only reference I see to 3ft is the actual length of the extensions.

Just be careful if you look at other brands. I considered either PJ or Diamond C before getting a PJ (larger dealer network) because I thought I would get better dealer service. Was wrong. I had to spend $1200 getting the axles aligned (rewelding hangers and mounts), plus nearly a grand in tires. Never got a call back from PJ or any dealer trying to help. They blamed it all on me claiming I overloaded the trailer...... It only carries Truck campers (3-5k each, never more than 3 at a time). It's a 30k GVWR trailer.

Diamond C supposedly makes a great trailer, but I've found some questionable reviews that show some shotty work in areas that don't make sense. I didn't like the lack of a big dealer network considering the trailer was $4k more than the PJ and $6k more than the BigTex.

Load Trail is supposed to be very similar to Kaufman and TPT but recently got busted by ICE and had to downsize considerably.
