Truck drivers aren't the most disreputable and unsavory characters I have ever dealt with. I did complete two semesters of law school.![]()

Was there any warning signs in the near vicinity of where you parked? They should be clearly sign posted, just as a speed limit sign is clearly posted, provided there was a warning sign at the entrance (driveway) with a clear written warning then that is all that is required, if it went to court they could use this as proof, if no sign then the law would be in your favour. Or if you drove to Walmart or where ever to purchase something had kept your receipt and could prove you went shopping before they booted your truck then again you'd have a valid case. If you do have a valid case I'd be calling out the cops but make sure there are definitely no warning signs. The last thing the police want to be doing is messing around with trivial issues, but if you have a valid case their going to jump on whoever booted your truck, if not then guess what they'll take it out on you.Another Canadian driver, Arctic_fox and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

Those guys are fake and Dallas knows it. They even aired a tv spot on the local channels showing what and how the real Dallas County Parking Enforcement looks like and handles themselves. A snip it of it is on you tube. They have booted lots of fourwheelers too. A friend of ours parked his vette at his doctors office and had to go into emergency surgery. Bad heart due to agent orange in Vietnam. Car was booted by those crooks before his neighbor could come and get it for him. He had permission under the circumstances to leave it overnight but he wasn’t going to. They called the boot guys bluff about a tow truck picking it up and one didn't show up. Local cop made him remove it because he had permission to park there after hrs but said no arrest could be made. Someones got to be in on it. That city is fubared.

Didn't realize that Walmarts had truck parking. Oh wait, they don't. So we go back to illegal parking. Well, don't park illegally.
So you didn't go look at what a dba is I see.Another Canadian driver and cke Thank this. -
If Dallas knows about these guys and they don't do a thing about it, can't you guys in the great state of texas call the Rangers or the state police? Has anyone actually talked to the state AG?

If it was illegal the police wouldn't have told him it's a, "civil matter". Scams are criminal, not civil.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Police will very rarely if ever get involved in a towing type dispute. That’s why they call it a civil matter. But what these people are doing is criminal. I don’t know if I’d be able to restrain myself if I encountered individuals like this. I’d probably end up in prison. And the time it would sure feel worth it. Lol I can’t stand people who engage in this type of crap. I saw them do this to some poor old trucker a few months back. There was one sign, hidden behind some bushes on a tree branch in the back of a grocery store, where he had parked. They extorted the old driver out of $700. And they wanted it in cash.Another Canadian driver, TheLoadOut, gentleroger and 1 other person Thank this.
