I’ve had 2 birds get stuck in my grill. First one was a Pheasant down in Texas, I was trying to sell pheasant on the grill but nobody wanted any.
Last one happened about 2wks ago. In Texas again, don’t know what kind it was though. It got stuck really good, and was pain in the rear to get off of there.
Text book, big game kill..Deer.

I don't think I have a deer strike but I hit just about everything else over the years in the night. Not too much damage back then. BOMP and see paws or hooves fly past the pax window.
Took out someones lab pet in a driving rain in Texas once cars on both sides all of us at speed Lab back and forth looking at each car to see if master is in it.
I just adjusted the wheel. Traffic cleared for 20 miles when they realized it's blood etc off my wheels in the rain. (At night)
One was a Moose in the far NE. I was going to honk it off, but the other driver saw it and pleaded with me to leave it. As taught to me that if I did honk.. well guess what. 1+1= ####. Stupid moose.
The better memory would be 50 birds hanging off my rad eating off all the inch thick pile of bugs. Just left them alone for 20 minutes cleared it right up down in Texas. Now the Gulls in Maryland drive me crazy. They owe me some food. Sit on my west coast mirror bracket looking at my pastries in the morning and make noises sheesh. -
I've hit 2 deer in 20 yrs driving, both at night.
The 1st was on I 74 between Mayberry, NC ("hey Andy, Gomer & everybody") & I 77. I was driving a Volvo not a white one
the deer shattered the entire hood but didnt damage the engine. That load was taking me home for Xmas so the company rented me a car.
I loved it no logbook, no scales hammer down!!!
It took 2 wks to fix so I got extra time home, sweet!
The 2nd deer was on US80 in west GA. I was driving a 13 letter shot spreader, I havent heard that phrase in awhile
. Anyway no damage to the truck.
I also hit a dog somewhere on a 2 lane. It took off running ahead of me on the grass, I slowed down but it turned & into me. I really felt bad but there was nothing I could do, nowhere to stop, no shoulder
Otherwise I've had birds fly into my windshield & grill, no damage. This doesnt count but how about those #### lovebugs, what a PITA!
PPS. I hit a skunk one night just b4 stopping for 10. It stunk so bad I couldnt rest. I went to the fuel island to wash off the stink, I scrubbed with the windshield brush & it still stunk. I drove a couple hours more to let the stink blow away, stunk less but I could still smell it a little.Last edited: Jul 31, 2019

Once in a great while when everything is music at cruise and the winds are just so and the day is long with a promise of good things down the road, I would catch a large bird of prey hanging out between my Sleeper Air Shield ahead of the reefer's ceiling at front of trailer. He will just hang there wings spread with just a hit of flap when necessary at 65.
It has to be precise driving to keep it in that special spot of air near the rig. Never the same bird twice. But it's a boost.
Then again #### cheating smart critter loafing along free without labor scanning 10 miles in 10 minutes... /snark.Concorde Thanks this.
