    BS, the cell phone carrier has records of all texts sent/recieved, try again. Gee how I don't remember what life was like back before cell phones.......you know where there was no such thing as traffic accidents. Again, windsheild wipers were going to kill millions. Then it was the car radio that was going to wipe out the planet.....now it's the cell phone. The cry babies just need a new scapegoat to blame. I think we should outlaw road signs, just too big of a distraction.:biggrin_25525:

    #### these cell phones!!!!!!

    At least one person can see through the smoke screen portrayed by those who want to run things with feelings and emotions, instead of facts and logic.
    I don't text while driving don't like doing it with two hands in a well lite room.
    I just always wonder why it's the truck drivers that are causeing all the problems on the highway according to king ray?

    I'll call BS on that...

    Monday,....I88 leaving Aurora ILL. THREE trucks lock up their brakes. HUGE rubber cloud on the road from all the tires. Two cars are in the ditch. At least 50 cars come to a screeching halt.

    Lady in one of the cars in the ditch was texting on her phone.

    3 minutes later she is passing me as she is texting on the phone at 70 MPH.

    Luckily no one actually made contact with each other.

    I remember reading that. The TWO school buses had BAD BRAKES, and the third one third one that took some kids to the hospital crashed in the parking lot.

    Oh, but texting kills :rolleyes::banghead:

    The honest headline should have been "Poor maintenance on school buses causes the death of local teens"

    What if she had been changing radio stations? Would you have even mentioned it? Or was it the fact a phone was involved made it worth talking about? Not picking on you, it's just the phone is the new boogie man.

    Honest headlines don't fit the bandwagon agenda most nervous nannies have.

    You better look again, the SUV was hitting the breaks because they were coming up on another car that was passing the cube truck to the right. The car then passed the cube truck... then the SUV hit a patch of ice and spun out in the rears(from getting on the gas again perhaps to pass as well)... this lead to the fishtail the slammed the SUV into the cube truck... Which again made the SUV go further out of control sliding across the sipper into oncoming traffic and ... boom!

    I don't see how texting was involved at all
