I saw that and I really really really got lazy to correct it. Haha. You know how it goes. There is a lot guys driving trucks but there isn't that many truck drivers left. Heck a lot of the new guys now days without a navigation or google maps would be stuck because they don't know how to use a paper map. Luckily my dad showed me how an atlas works and I picked up on it. or I would be on that boat
Well he did say something to his trainer and got a stupid reply. so I say get video, call corporate and get off his truck, show safety the video once off the truck. I have a brother that is a cop, has had lots of training for driving. But he still managed to total one cop car and then put one in a ditch a week later. He also has wrecked almost every car he has owned. So just because you have training and think yourself a good driver doesn't make it so. And he scares the s*** out of me ! But do keep us informed on the outcome. Good Luck
Reminds me of the line my dad used to use when I was a kid. "Do as I say, not as I do" Eventually he'll get his. Just make sure he doesn't take you down with him. If he's putting you in danger, talk to your safety office.. The suggestion of a discreet video is a good one.
I know how to churn my own butter too but I still buy it from the store. When I'm older I'll be talking about how we had to manually enter words on online message boards.
Courtesy of @wsyrob She was being safe until she hit something. Off topic, but it kinda proved the point. Your trainer isn't safe just because he didn't hit anything.
I'm just wondering how you can sleep when your trainer is behind the wheel and is texting, I'd of beat his ### for endangering my life. If your company backs him, let me know, I'd love to have the DOT walk in and start getting phone records compared to log books. $11,000 fine per driver for the company allowing this will get expensive quick. Oh, and you that think texting and driving is ok, understand it takes an average of 4.6 second to look at a text, that's a football field at 65 mph. I had a Landstar pass me recently, texting and driving with an oversize load, weaving all over, if he would of hit me, I'd of owned a fleet of new Glider Petes and enclosed car trailers courtesy of Landstar and that driver.
Just skipped to the end Dood, take command, make him stop...I would tell him, "dood, you are not going to do this while Im in the truck" or what? Or Im gonna stomp your butt!!
Them are the guys who finally pop a steer tire and end up dead wearing thier butt for a hat cause they was far from ready...
