It takes longer for traffic to move when everyone has to keep stopping and starting because of those that "have to get to the front of the line" than it does to just get in line and let the rigs continue to roll slowly along.
Strange concept I knowbut imagine giving the same courtesy to others that you would want should you find yourself in a similar circumstance. :smt107

The only thing with this is when the other trucks get to the merge point, you're back to square one with the same problem.

Was on I 80 heading to the cashbox near Chicago, and it was bumper to bumper. The four wheelers were creeping up the side, and some truckers were playing traffic cop, when all of a sudden it came over the cb to let the four wheelers thru, it seems there was an enterprising Smokey parked on the shoulder, who had a whole line of these folks behind him, and was walking from car to car writing them a ticket for all their efforts. We all just drove by laughing our behinds off cuz the line just got longer and longer and longer, and the trooper's smile just got bigger with each car.

Good. It's about time they started getting tickets for driving on the shoulder.

I would have offered that trooper a drink im sure he would be getting thirsty lol. Its about time though.
