I think most Americans don't even know why they had today off!

Nonetheless, Thank you all for your service!

 

Hey Moose I bet you don't pay taxes because you have too. and maybe even not follow DOT rules because you have too I;m a vet my son's a vet and I will stand today for whatever it takes to give you the freedom to spout your drivel, but please keep your negative comments about our service people including my son who is Afghanistan right now to yourself.

 

You know, my husband is a veteran. He served during Desert Storm.

You my not support the government that sent them there, or the reasons they spout. But to not support the men and women giving their all in the armed services? Yeah, take that crap (can I say that?) and shove it.

 

Moose I don't agree with what you are saying. But, I do believe in your right to say it. Enough that I spent 8 years, doing what I believe to ensure your right.

 

As a vet, I don't agree with Moose either. If everyone had that opinion, America would be a communist country by now.

 

Moose. You are welcome! My service to you was my pleasure. Enjoy your freedom.

 

Today is my birthday,But being a Viet Nam combat vet,this day has meant so much more to me .My grandfather,father,brothers have served this country with honor.I have served with men who never returned to the life that moose enjoys. I still see their faces after 40 years.I know many whose life was changed because of war.Not everyone wanted to be there,but they showed courage, and compassion,in the face of horror and hopelessness.They loved their life as much as moosey does.
Thank you to each of my brothers and sisters for making the sacrifices that most people will never understand.

It's this 'holier than thou' attitude that I really hate.

You fight, and kill, for ideas and ideals that you believe in.
Not, repeat NOT!!!, for my ideas or ideals.

You do no service for me, and my freedom is not and has never been dependent on your willingness and eagerness to kill others over your belief system.

Get off your high horse and look at it for what it is.
It is no different than the people who flew planes and took down the Towers. They also fought and died and killed for their own ideals and beliefs.

Freedom is a gift from God to all. It does not come, and it is not maintained, from the sword or the gun. It is not something 'granted' by a government.
It is something only achievable through your own heart and mind.

Do not drag me into your own barbarism. I want nothing of it.
