I would like to thank everyone for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful site. As a new member I have learned alot already about what trucking is all about, but have lots more room to learn more.
I worked in the construction industry for many years (35) providing an income to my family. Today the nest is empty and the kids have started their new lives. In many ways, I am doing the same.
While I'm not really what would be considered a professional driver, I do have many years of experience transporting equipment to and from job sites. I hold a class A CDL/ with hazmat, tanker, passenger and school bus endorsements. I hope this will help me find a job since I'm currently unemployed, (semi-retired).
The job I seek though, will be one that I enjoy. I have done the usual 9 to 5 for over 40 years and this last chapter of my life I hope will have a happy ending. I know no other way to do the things that I always wanted to do than maybe drive a truck to deliver freight and materials across this great country. I think I could do this at this point in my life and find the find that enjoyment that I have searched for all these years.
I am honored and feel greatly priviledged to be a member of this site. I know I can gain lots of insite from the true professionals of this industry and will always respect all, for their assistance and advice.
Thank You All ..............Georgiaonmymind
